Ekstremsportveko has chosen to cancel this year’s festival. This was not an easy decision to make. Ekstremsportveko has followed the development of COVID-19 closely together with professionals and the authorities. We have looked at alternatives other than canceling, but healthcare, safety and well-being of the public is our number one priority. The municipality of Voss has also given official advice to cancel Ekstremsportveko. We made this decision because it’s our time to protect and do our best for the community.
We are happy to announce that most of the program for 2020 will count in 2021. All activities and sports competitions including the World Championship in extreme whitewater kayaking will be moved to 2021. The following artists are also ready for 2021: Turbonegro, Inner Circle, Side Brok, Bernhoft and Pineapple Express. More information can be found on our website, www.ekstremsportveko.com
It is not an ideal situation for anyone and we thank you for your patience. We don’t have all the answers ready by now, especially questions about tickets and refunds for 2020. We ask for understanding in this matter, but we are positive that we will find a solution that is acceptable for everyone that has purchased a ticket. Anyone who has purchased tickets will be contacted by Ekstremsportveko directly by email with information on their purchases before May 15th, 2020.
In the meantime, we encourage people to show consideration and take care of yourself and others. We are looking forward and hope, for a better tomorrow. Things will get better.
